The inline concept has been around for a long time, pioneered by Daiwa for surf casting the technology has now made its way down to jigging. This offers some major advantages for slow jigging due to how small and fragile the guides on most rods are, by eliminating them you eliminate extra weight and components that can often break. Along with this you also eliminate the possibility of tip wrap on windy days, which is the #1 killer for slow jigging rods. These blanks are based on the Temple Reef Innovate series which is perfect for sport/party boat use giving you more power and length to land bigger fish without worrying about the fish running under the boat.
By distributing the force through the entire blank you not only improve sensitivity you can also improve the durability of the rods since the force is distributed at all points along the blank instead of just at the guide feet. With direct contact you can feel everything your jig is doing and what is happening with your line.
A special coating is used on the inside of the blank to prevent any kind of abrasion from braid, and the more durable inline stripper guide along with the tip are the only guide components on the rods so you eliminate a lot of the extra concern. The rods all include a wire section to make threading your line through the blank easier, but weve done it just fine with a piece of mono in a few seconds so that isnt much of a concern. It is surprising how smooth the line travels through the blank and how much you can feel directly though it.
