Snap swivels are very useful for quickly switching out lures but theres a ton of variance in the design and performance of each type. Oceans Legacy access swivels offer a symmetrical shape which is perfect for casting lures like stickbaits, jerkbaits and poppers. More importantly the design prevents snagging and accidental failure from the eye of the lure catching the end of the wire. This style of swivel also does not require you to apply pressure to open, you just hold the swivel and twist the lure in place. There are a lot of various sizes which range from swivels youd use on small bass and halibut lures up to the larger sizes youd use for casting big lures to 300lb bluefin.
The swivels are made of stainless steel so theyre very durable and resistant to corrosion, in addition they add a black nickel coating which helps with surface finish longevity. The finish also makes them harder to see in the water and less attractive for the passing wahoo or barracuda which are known for attacking the shiny terminal tackle as much as the lures.
