The Valiant series has been the dominant line for Accurate since they filled in all of the sizes and since then they’ve added quite a lot of interesting reels to the lineup. The SPJ jigging models have been very well received and have become the dominant lever drag for slow pitch jigging in the US and even abroad, we sell quite a lot of them to clients in Japan.
This series covers everything from a 300 size 20lb-30lb reel all the way up to the monster 1000 size which is the equivalent of a 50 class reel. They’ve proven to be durable enough with just their upgraded anti-reverse bearing and proper maintenance, catching yellowfin all the way up into the 400lb range on an 800 size. All of the new Valiants come with the rubber knob by default since they are the most popular standard knobs, they used to come with aluminum ball handles that were less ergonomic but lighter.
These are the lightest lever drag reels on the market by far so they make a great addition to a United Composites rod especially the RGP and RCE series for the ultimate combo.
