Strike Master produces some the nicest painted Cedar Plugs on the market. Their finish is very well detailed, and lasts long enough to earn its value. While I was slow in the conversion to painted cedar plugs (feeling that its really a reaction strike), I was rudely awakened to the fact that there are times when color does indeed make a difference. For instance while albacore fishing recently, the green 4 plug shown below slayed em while the unpainted jig did not. I still am convinced that you dont have to have a painted Cedar Plug to catch a tuna, but I have to admit that there are some days color certainly does make a difference.
