The hover shot is an innovative new finesse technique quickly gaining popularity in Japan. Considered to be a deadly technique for targeting suspended fish, theRyugi Hover Shot Hookresembles a panicked baitfish when paired with light line, a finesse swimbait or fluke, and a strolling retrieve on slack line. When the fish are highly pressured, sometimes even a lightly weighted jig head can fall too quickly and force you to fish too fast. Hover Strolling allows the angler to still use a jig hook with a finesse swimbait, and work the upper portion of the water column slowly by adjusting the action and fall with the use of a small nail weight.
A special worm keeper positioned in the middle of the hook holds the main body of your finesse swimbait, and the 90-degree line tie is positioned to rest above the nose of your swimbait. Featuring a fine-wire construction and Ryugis proprietary TC Teflon coating, the Ryugi Hover Shot Hooks have a slick surface that allows you to set the hook with very little pressure.
